A shoe shop where you can walk a mile in someone else’s shoes – literally.

Take a moment to see the world through another person’s eyes.

Ever wondered what it would be like to be a prisoner of war? To be a sex worker, miner or refugee? Or to have rediscovered love in your eighties? We invite you to take a moment to look at the world through someone else’s eyes.

A Mile in My Shoes is a travelling interactive shoe shop (created by the Empathy Museum in the UK) where you can walk a mile in someone else’s shoes – literally – while listening to them tell a story about their life.

With a diverse collection of over 250 shoes and stories collected from around the world, A Mile in My Shoes invites you on an empathic and physical journey.

"Literally walking in someone’s shoes while listening to their voice made it easier to empathise and reflect on the privileges I have had in my life."
