Help us celebrate International Women’s Day at our Women in STEM event for high school girls in March each year.

This annual event encourages high school girls (Years 9-11) to consider a career in STEM and introduces girls to an amazing array of STEM opportunities.

During the day students will:

  • Learn about careers in STEM and plan their next steps to get there at the Careers Expo.
  • Hear from inspiring and successful female speakers on a range of STEM topics, from ocean science to palaeontology, biodiversity, maritime archaeology and more!
  • Explore the museum and HMAS Vampire during a self-guided visit or go on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour through the Conservation labs.
  • Participate in creative STEAM workshops with artists who work at the intersection of art and science.
