Child migrant institutions today
Today many former child migrant institutions have been adapted for educational and family use. The Christian Brothers operate Bindoon and Clontarf as Catholic colleges, while Fairbridge Pinjarra and Mowbray Park offer farm holiday accommodation.
Stratford and Fairknowe are private residences but Fairbridge Molong lies derelict – a fitting metaphor for the end of Britain’s child migration schemes.
