The cruise takes visitors to Clark Island (Be-lang-le-wool), where you'll learn about traditional fishing methods, food gathering techniques and enjoy a vibrant Aboriginal cultural performance.

During the cruise, the Mari Nawi's Aboriginal crew will share fascinating stories of Sydney Harbour's Gadigal, Guringai, Wangal, Gammeraigal and Wallumedegal people plus explanations of their names for significant landmarks. Plus, join the weaving workshop on-board and create your own Indigenous-inspired work.
This cruise is part of the museum’s Science Week program and is made possible thanks to the Department of Industry, Innovation & Science.

Tribal Warrior's Mari Nawi
Mari Nawi (meaning ‘big canoe’ in the Eora language) is a motor vessel used for cruises on Sydney Harbour with an Aboriginal focus. Owned and operated by the Tribal Warrior Association, Mari Nawi is the only Aboriginal commercial charter service on Sydney Harbour.
The Tribal Warrior Association provides Aboriginal people with rare and valuable training, recreational, social and educational opportunities that help unit their communities and revitalise traditional cultural values. The boat acts as a training vessel for their maritime programs and helps forge a vital link of appreciation, respect and understanding between Aboriginal and non-indigenous people.
