MANGROVE
Welcome to the Sydney Harbour Nurseries. I'm Mangrove. I'm a carer here. I work with Posidonia and Ecklonia and Saltmarsh. We are lots of environments.  We take care of really small creatures, and it's so nice that we get to give them the best start in life.

POSIDONIA
Hi, I am Posidonia, also known as Marine Seagrass
and you might have seen me, like, all along Sydney Harbour
I am a proud carer at the Sydney Harbour Nurseries
We get baby Bream, Baby snapper. Youth Luderick, Youth Port Jackson Sharks
baby Snapper, baby mackerel, and of course, our friend endangered White’s Seahorse

WHITE’S SEAHORSE
Hi I’m on the White’s seahorse, and I'm one of those parents here and I'm pretty endangered in this community. I also get pregnant with our babies and hold them in my stomach. It's pretty unusual for a dad to hold the babies. But that's what Dad seahorses do. I like the nurseries because the Posidonia fields provide us our home
and keep my babies safe from the predators when they are still young and can’t protect themselves.

PORT JACKSON SHARK
I'm Jackson, the Port Jackson shark. It’s really fun to be a shark and rule the the seas
And I really like this place, the nursery, because it's really protective and helps me grow up. When I grow up, I want to help out the Ecklonia and eat all the sea urchins I can, because they're a great snack.

ECKLONIA RADIATA
I'm Ecklonia radiata. I am also known Golden kelp, kelp, call me whatever you want. Along with the Mangrove and Posidonia I am a carer in this community and I look after the older juveniles,

BLUE GROPER
I’m Bonnie the Blue Groper, and I’m a baby girl
When I grow up, I want to be a bright blue bossy boy, just like my dad.
I like the Sydney Harbour Nursery because I eat lots of epi fauna and the food is delicious.

EPI & IN FAUNA
EF:  So I'm the Epi fauna and I live on the Posidonia, 
IF: And I’m the In fauna, I live on the seafloor
EF: And we're like the caterers at the Sydney Harbour Nursery.
IF: We are the little organisms that feed the animals that live in the nursery. 
BOTH: We're very abundant.

LUDERICK 
I am the Luderick, and one of the parents in the nursery. I'm also a cleaner. I clean the Posidonia. I eat the algae to help the posidonia grow, and catch the sunlight, which helps it photosynthesize and it gets the carbon dioxide and puts it in the sea floor so it's clean water for the fish and a clean atmosphere for everyone.
I feel very safe to leave my babies in the nursery. I trust the carers there.  It's a good place

SNAPPER
Hi I’m Sienna the Snapper.
And when when I go, when I grow up I want explore the open seas and be a big buff
and help everyone I can, in the open seas. 
My favorite part about the nursery is, is the carers because are all really nice.
They're really protective of like., everyone there.
