Postcard 1:

To Mr. Mrs Fur Seal, Montague Island, Barunguba Seal Colony, South Coast, Yuin Country, New South Wales, Australia,

Dear Mum and Dad, it’s an all you can eat feast here in Sydney. There is majestic mackerel, snapper, bream, octopus and squid that have been our main food source here in Sydney Harbour. I’m drooling just thinking about the tasty meat. And there is beautiful kelp and seagrass to swim through. The rocky shorelines are the key to lounging and rest after a well-deserved meal. Also, the big building on Tubowgule, I think they called the Sydney Opera House. Their steps are impeccable haul out spots.

Your handsome son,
Slick Fur

Postcard 2:

Dear Whiskers and Furry,

I’m starting to realise how annoying these humans are, especially the little ones. Always loud and obnoxious. Peace and quiet is all I want. It has been impossible to get rest with all of these Choir performances and concerts. After a long night’s hunting all I wanna do is sleep. Make it stop.

Your favourite friend,
Slick Fur

Postcard 3:

Dear Fast Flipper,

We’re chilling on the rocks in Middle Harbour at a place called Chowder Bay or Koree, where I found some other Seals. It seems like this might be a popular spot. I bet this has also been a place our ancestors have hauled out a long time ago. I’m really looking forward to the free swim back home. Courtesy of the East Australian current.

You’re annoying sibling,
Slick Fur
