Dr Jeanne-Claude Strong is a practising medical doctor and was a non-executive Director of the Garvan Institute of Medical Research Foundation. She pilots her Beechcraft Baron aircraft throughout Australia, having flown it from California to Melbourne via the North Atlantic, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Dr Strong is also a competitive sailor with numerous wins to her name, including the 2015 Etchells Australasian Championship and the Queensland State Championship in 2016 and 2025, plus the Victorian Championship in 2017. Yacht racing remains one of her passions, earning third place in the 2025 Etchells World Championship.
