Meet children’s author, climate communicator and science presenter, Lee Constable!

Lee will share her informative, hilarious, activity-filled book, How to Save the Whole Stinkin’ Planet, introducing us to her favourite superhero of her creation, Captain Garbology! We’ll dive head-first into the world of rubbish – what happens to our rubbish? Is recycling really that important? Why should we care about waste management?

After a whirlwind training session, students will have their rubbish knowledge and creativity put to the test: designing their own eco-superhero.

There will also be time for students to ask Lee questions about sustainability, science communication and superheros!

This session will start at 2pm for all states observing Australian Eastern Standard Time (NSW, ACT, Qld, Vic & Tas), 1.30pm for Schools in SA and NT and 12pm for WA.

About the presenter

Lee Constable is an Australian children’s author and science and climate communicator. She is best-known for hosting Network 10 kids’ science TV show, Scope, as well as guest appearances on Studio 10, ABC Breakfast and War on Waste. From life on a sheep farm in rural NSW, to a voyage to Antarctica, Lee has experience engaging with people of all backgrounds. She has a particular passion for empowering young people to be more engaged with climate and environmental science and is also a keen scuba diver, stand-up comedian and artist.
