Term 1 - Splendiferous seashore

Be inspired by all things beach culture this summer- as you enjoy art making and experiments with your family.

Get creative with a full day of beach-inspired making and experimenting. Design your own fun-glasses and papercraft goggles, craft hand-painted beach flags and whimsical windsocks, and turn summer safety slogans into eye-catching button badges.

Experiment with the science of seaweed bio-yarn, learn how to transform marine debris into new usable creations, and make a splash with water play in our outdoor area. Dress up as your favourite beach creature or wind down with a beachy book in our calm zone.

Open Sundays during school term
11.15am – 3.15pm

Kids on deck is also open daily during School Holidays.

Ages 4-14 and adults
Drop-in, no bookings required

March

To accommodate our renovations to the café area, on Sundays during March, Kids on Deck will be located in the Terrace room alongside the café space.

Entry to Kids on Deck will be FREE during March due to these renovations.

Term 2

Dive into creative artmaking and hands-on experiments inspired by the ocean.

Create cute sea-creature pom-poms, sculpt miniature shells from polymer clay, mix slippery blobfish slime, sketch scientific illustrations of marine life, and transform marine debris into new creations.

Dress up as your favourite aquatic creature for a photo booth selfie, explore the microscopic world of plankton, or take a quiet break in the kelp forest reading corner.

A relaxed Sunday activity for families who love making, experimenting and discovering together.
