Honouring Chinese Migrants
致敬華人移民 国家移民纪念碑
The Museum is working with the Chinese community to honour Chinese migration with a dedicated panel on the Welcome Wall, Australia’s National Monument to Migration.
You can be a part of this initiative by honouring a loved one of Chinese heritage. In acknowledgement of your tax-deductible gift of $500, your name, or the name of a family member, relative, co-worker or friend will be etched in bronze on a dedicated Chinese panel on the Monument in recognition of their journey across the seas to make Australia their new home.
Dr Lin Hu arrived in Australia as a six-year-old boy with his mother, Taihang Fan in 1988, following his father Guo Rang Hu who migrated to Australia from China as part of the World Health Organisation’s medical research fellowship at Concord Hospital.
