Camille Comtat

Camille Comtat is the Manager for Biodiversity & Habitats at the Minderoo Foundation where she leads strategies to advance high seas policy and protection. Camille also works with partner coalitions to design programs that strengthen Marine Protected Areas by embedding systems thinking and human rights principles.

She is a member of the United Nations Ocean Decade’s Gender Expert Working Group, supporting the development and rollout of a global action plan to integrate gender equity into ocean science.

A strong advocate for gender justice in marine and climate policy, Camille brings a background in driving campaigns for human rights, climate solutions, and species conservation.
