Shipwrecked! Creative writing workshop
Inspired by the drama and turmoil of real shipwreck tales, this step-by-step workshop guides students in writing their own adventure story on the high seas. Students use sensory writing to respond to shipwreck artefacts from the museum's collections, learn about the hyperbole involved in sailor's sea stories and begin the composition of an imaginative fictional text.
Materials required:
Download and print the worksheet for each student to use during the session or have pencil and blank paper ready.
