Clean up Australia Day

Students write a brilliant story about plain old rubbish!

In this English and Science workshop, we'll follow the journey of a bottle cap dropped in a school playground as it travels into the drain, through the sewers and out to the ocean. While we're developing our storytelling superpowers, we'll also be inspired by real-life examples of sustainability initiatives to help us re-write a rubbish ending.

In a jam-packed hour, we'll cover:

  • Personification
  • Plot structures
  • Sustainability
  • Recycling
  • Saving the world!

Materials required:

  • Pencil
  • Paper
