World Water Day

Dive into the science of ocean environments in this interactive virtual excursion from the Museum of the Sea.  

The ocean is a unique, irreplaceable environment that is home to many living things. This session builds on UNESCO’s ocean literacy principles to help students understand why the ocean is important for all life on Earth.  

We’ll discuss the pollution problems facing our ocean, learn about real life examples of sustainability and brainstorm achievable ways to help the ocean in our everyday lives. 

There are 2 identical sessions running to best suit your schedule and timezone. The morning session will start at:

  • 9:30am for all states observing Australian Eastern Daylight Time (NSW, ACT, Vic & Tas),
  • 9:00am for Schools in SA,
  • 8:30am for schools in QLD

The second session starts at:

  • 2:00pm for all states observing Australian Eastern Daylight Time (NSW, ACT, Vic & Tas)
  • 1:30pm for schools in SA
  • 1:00pm for schools in QLD
  • 12:30pm for schools in NT
  • 11:00am for schools in WA
