Swashbuckling birthday parties
There’s boatloads of birthday fun to be had in our themed birthday parties. Great fun for kids and less hassle for you.
Choose from a Pirate’s Adventure or Under the Sea theme for your exclusive themed and decorated venue space, and enjoy an unforgettable entertaining experience as well as entry to the museum and vessels.
Birthday sessions are now sold out for 2025
The 2026 birthday season will begin again on select Saturdays from May due to venue limitations.

*Please note this form does not secure a booking; it is to express interest only. You will receive an email notification when birthday bookings for 2026 go live and can book an available birthday party package date via the link.
Each party includes:
- 2 hours entertainment time with your party hosts in our venue space; 10.30am – 12:30pm OR 2pm – 4pm
- 40 minute character guided treasure hunt and tour within the museum galleries (all ages) and access on board a vessel for kids 5+ years* (for safety reasons)
- Glitter tattoos, facepainting and/or balloon swords
- Free time in the activity space with photo wall, dress ups, and creative activities (activities may include Making Pirate/Sailor Hats, DIY temporary tattoos or badges, model ships or periscopes, under the sea crowns or puppets etc.)
- Party bag treat - a novelty toy or book from the store (treat varies according to stock and availability, may include sea animal putty, hatching eggs, submarine kits etc)
Catering and Birthday cake NOT included.
- BYO cake is permitted.
- No alcohol permitted at children’s parties for licencing and safety reasons.
- Catering can be organised with Ripples Café – just next door to the party space.

Cost
Total party package (up to 25 guests and includes access to the museum and vessels)
$750 per party / $700 for members.
Additional party guest tickets are $15 per person / $10 museum members.
Venue capacity is limited to a maximum 35 guests in the space
Important reminders and frequently asked questions
- Parties are only offered on selected Saturdays 10:30am – 12:30pm or 2pm – 4pm.
- Parties typically sell out 6 weeks in advance. To secure your preferred date and time please book online. We’ll reach out to finalise the details closer to the big day.
- During school holidays we don’t have any venues available for hosting private party groups.
- Min. height restrictions for vessel access apply.
- Custom floor plans, high levels of customisation and change of venue is not included.
- We do not host parties for first birthdays.
