Monument donor recognition ceremony

Each unveiling ceremony honours those who have made Australia their new home.

About the donor recognition ceremony

The National Monument stands in honour of families who have migrated to Australia with registered names engraved in bronze. Currently there are over 34,000 names on the Monument with representation from over 140 countries.

The museum generally holds donor recognition ceremonies twice a year to recognise donors and celebrate the addition to the National Monument.

New registrants, their families and friends are invited to this celebration of their life-changing journeys to Australia.

The ceremony provides guests with the opportunity to view the panel for the first time in what is always a moving and festive ceremony. The event sees different family generations gather together to reflect on and celebrate their cultural heritage.

Registration is now open for our 2026 ceremonies. Register a name or enquire now for more information.
