Zhila Hasanloo
I am a woman living with a visual impairment and I could never imagine being able to work, study, serve my community and have a full life like everyone else, in my home country.
Australia has provided these opportunities to me and much more. I live a full and active life in Australia, where I’ve completed my PhD in Education, settled into a career with the NSW Department of Education, and am also operating a charity called Ability Beyond Boundaries, working with Persian-speaking communities living with a disability.
I see myself as someone serving the community and assisting others with a similar cultural and linguistic background.
